Established in 1966, the Clifton Park site is home to four of York’s premier sports clubs.

Our Clubs

York RUFC has over 700 members, including junior & seniors for male and female and a Cavaliers team for veterans. We host County Cup competitions, have won the Yorkshire Shield three times and, with an extensive Youth Development section, York is the epitome of ‘grass roots’ rugby.
York Tennis Club has over 350, members.150 of which are junior players. We offer many membership categories, club play sessions, day & evening & a full coaching programme with qualified coaches. We run 16 teams in both local & county leagues & have 6 Astro floodlit courts. All standards are welcome.
York Cricket Club has been in existence for over 200 years and has a membership in excess of 350 players spannning men’s and women’s teams at junior and senior levels. York have been Yorkshire League Champions and National Club Champions.
York Squash Club has a membership of around 220 players, covering both juniors and seniors. We have four courts, one of which is a show court. Coaching is available for beginner and advanced players, old and young.
